Can anyone post any feedback on the Weider Crossbow or Weider Crossbar? I am interested in the quality of the Weider products, how sturdy are they, how heavy are they; is the Weider Crossbow / Weider Crossbar a "Gym Quality" product? Or for that matter, any of the other Weider Pro Gym products.

The Weider products look very solid and look to be a much better home gym than many of the other infomercial home gym products. However, I have net ever met anyone who has a Weider Pro Gym product and I have never actually seen one of these things in person. Can anyone comment on the quality?

I have a weider crossbow. I love it. I was going to buy the Bowflex. However, I'm glad I didn't. You can do just about everything that a Bowflex can. The good thing is that the Crossbow costs about half the price.

I\\'ve had one for the past 3 years. I have not had any problems with it and am in better shape at 43 than I was when I was 20. I would encourage anyone that needs a great workout machine for a good price to purchase it.

I also purchases a Crossbow about 4 years ago instead of a Bowflex and I love it. At half the price, I get the same workout, in the same time. My strength and endurance increased very quickly compared to free weights. I love it.

I have used my crossbow for 2 years 4-5days a week. My only complaint is that the rods wear out. That is why I am at this site. Where can I get new rods?

I've only had my crossbow for a few weeks now.In hindsite, I would have saved my money and used my power blocks and a bench. I'm not saying it's not worth the $299 compared to a bowflex, but it's also not the best $299 I've spent. It took almost 4 hours to assemble. Some pieces were missing. Overall it isn't a bad gym, if it motivates you to workout then it's a great gym.Just about every exercise on the crossbow can be done with dumbells and a bench. The biggest dissapointment for me was the leg press, not even closs to a real legg press. I think everyone goes through the same thing when working out, buying into gimmicks when all you really need are some goals and a commitment.I will continue to use my crossbow because after all I paid 300 bucks for the thing.

I purchased my crossbow about 3 years ago. I used it on and off. One day I was doing a particular exercise where you remove one of the rods and you bend it in front of you. On the very first bend the rod snapped and a chunk of the rod in the center snapped of and shot past my head and hit the wall behind me. I thought that the rods are indestructable and no, I am not superman. So, be very carefull when doing that particular exercise.

I have had my crossbow for several years. Set up was easy, and so is putting it away. Shortly aftr buying it, one of my bar's tip broke, it was replaced within ten days. My only question is, where can I find a good three day work-out? I exercise periodically, or when I think I need to and I see results quickly. I still would like to have professional guidance.

I bought my crossbow within the first two weeks of it's initial production run, and have never had any problem whatsoever from it. That is 6 years. I have to sell it now, because I need the money I can get to pay bills.

    I would do it again.

I got my crossbow from a friend and he had it for about 3 years before giving it to me. I love it and it still workes great no problems at all. He kept it outside and even after all that time in the weather a little oil and it was in great working shape.

The machine SUCKS! I can't adjust the weight any more becuase the computer controller broke again. It is impossible to get it fixed without paying an arm and a leg. I will use free weights from now on.

I got mine in 2004, no computer on it, just a great analog workout...hehe Unfortunately, it went through Katrina and is need of a makeover. I'm about to get back in my house and want to refurbish it, so I'm looking for all the soft parts. I loved this gym and used it all the time. I intend to restore it and use it again. It survived Katrina and still works great, what more could you ask? Many thanks to JD in Alabama for the info on parts!

I have a crossbow. Not sure what model, but it's does everything I need it to do. I even do SQUATS. I've never seen anyone on any of the commercials do them, but I do. So, for a full-body workout, it can't be beat. The rods are in good condition and the cables are solid. I don't understand the guys who claim their rods and cables break. Mine work fine and I've had mine for about two years and work out on it regularly. Try the squats. The leg press is useless. Squats will get your legs and buns
    a-burnin'!

I got a free used Weider Crossbow off of craigslist a few weeks ago. It's been great so far and I use it to hit the muscles at different angles than my standard free weights.

You can find the manuals online.
